Dayara Bugyal Trek

Starting from Raithal Village at an altitude of 1,800 meters, the trek involves a gradual 10 km ascent, typically taking 2–3 days to reach Dayara Bugyal's summit at 3,657 meters (12,000 feet) above sea level. The entire trek can be completed in 4 days, starting from either Raithal or Barsu and looping back to the same point. Along the route, trekkers pass through the scenic Goat Village, dense oak and rhododendron forests, numerous water streams, the serene Barnala Lake, and the picturesque campsites of Gui and Chilapada, ultimately arriving at the breathtaking meadows of Dayara. The Dayara Bugyal Trek is a breathtaking winter trek in Uttarakhand, offering mesmerizing views of snow-covered meadows and majestic Himalayan peaks. The temperature varies depending on the season—during summer (May to June), daytime temperatures range between 10°C to 20°C, with nighttime temperatures between 0°C to 5°C. In winter (December to February), daytime temperatures range from 0°C to 8°C, while nighttime can drop to -5°C or lower with snowfall. Monsoon months (July to September) see temperatures between 15°C to 20°C, accompanied by heavy rainfall. During winter, the snow-covered meadows create a magical landscape. Packing warm layers, including insulated jackets, gloves, and hats, is essential to stay comfortable in these cold conditions.
